I have decided to retire from teaching Yoga in Mirrormont classes. Thank you for the privilege of allowing me to share yoga with you over the years! And, thank you to the Mirrormont Country Club for allowing me to rent the clubhouse on Monday evenings for our classes!

Stretch out your stress! Twist away your troubles!

Yoga class will be offered this week on Monday evening, August 17, at 7:30 in the Clubhouse. Enjoy the rejuvenating, relaxing effects of yoga!


Yogic breathing energizes and cleanses the body and calms and relaxes the mind. As we hold the yoga poses (asanas), the breath helps the body relax deeply and safely into each pose. In yoga, the breath is seen as the important bridge between our physical and mental aspects. Proper breathing soothes the nervous system, calms, steadies, and clears the mind, improves concentration, focuses the attention, and increases the ability to deal with complex situations without suffering from stress.

In addition, proper breathing calms the emotions, increases mental stability, helps with emotional equilibrium, reduces cravings and desires, combats depression, helps relieve grief and sadness, puts us in touch with our inner selves, and gives us poise and serenity. Just breathe, indeed!

Yoga in Mirrormont class will be offered this week on Monday evening, October 17th, from 7 - 8 in the clubhouse. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, and any yoga props you have on hand (blocks, bolsters, etc.)

Stretch and tone your body and mind and embrace your heart's desires in Setu Bandha Sarvangasana (Bridge Pose)!

Benefits of Setu Bandha Sarvangasana:

Yoga in Mirrormont classes will resume next week on Monday evening, October 3rd, from 7 -  8 in the clubhouse. Please make a note of the new time. Cost is $10 per class, married couples are two for the price of one, and teens are free. The classes are for all levels, beginners through advanced, and modifications and variations will be taught, as needs be. My goal is to offer fun, safe, healing yoga classes in our beautiful neighborhood. Yoga poses are not only for toning the body. Yogic breathing and asanas (poses) also calm the mind, bringing clarity of thought. What appears urgent is winnowed from that which is truly essential.

Yoga class in Mirrormont will be offered this week on Monday evening, May 2nd, from 5 - 6 in the clubhouse. Please bring a blanket and any yoga props (blocks, bolsters, straps) you have on hand.

Practice flying safely into Bakasana (Crow Pose)!
