Deeply feel to deeply heal with yoga!

Yoga in Mirrormont will be offered this week on Monday evening, November 3rd, from 5 - 6 in the clubhouse.

We will practice the art of slowing down and being present. Class will begin with moon salutations, followed by a strong standing sequence with longer-held asanas for fall/winter, abdominal-strengthening, hip-openers, and backbends. We will explore inversions and end with the deep relaxation that can only be found in savasana. All levels are welcome and modifications and variations are taught, as needed.

Please note that Gratitude in Motion 2014 is just around the corner. I will be teaching a donation-based class to benefit Yoga Behind Bars on Sunday, November 29th, from 11 - Noon at Village Green Yoga.

Yoga Behind Bars (YBB) is part of an emerging movement driven to find a way to fundamentally change the current course of the American corrections system. Since 2008, YBB has helped thousands of incarcerated men, women, and youth transform their lives through their programs. I have been privileged to teach the maximum-security incarcerated teenage boys and girls at Echo Glen over the past few years, presently serving on the Board, as well, and can vouch for the profound rehabilitative benefits of yoga upon these children.
